Girls on a Pennsylvania soccer team will have some extra protection next season, but not everyone thinks it is a good idea.
Girls on the Strath Haven High School soccer team will have to wear protective head gear when their season begins this fall.
The district made the decision to help prevent concussions.
The team's coach, Gino Miraglia, showed us how the helmet works. He said the padding mostly protects the players from head-to-head or elbow-to-head contact. It will absorb some of the shock and keep them safe and on the field.
Strath Haven is the first team in its league to wear the headgear.
