Police say they have arrested a man accused of assaulting and threatening to kill a mall employee.
Nassau County Police say that Franklyn Brown of 215-32 106th Avenue in Queens, went into a store inside the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa at 10:10 a.m. on June 21st.
Brown took a 23-year-old female employee and began punching, kicking, and choking her. He took her into the parking lot where he kept choking her and threatened to kill her.
The driver of a Brinks Armored car intervened and Brown ran away from the scene with the victim's phone.
The victim sustained injuries to her neck, eye, foot, and face.
Brown was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday in Seaford. He was expected to be arraigned in Hempstead on Thursday.
He faces robbery, attempted kidnapping and other charges.
