DETROIT (WJBK) -

Residents at a Detroit housing development say they've been without water since a main broke on Monday.

Officials at the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department tell FOX 2 the main outside of the Sojourner Truth apartments on the city's east side was fixed earlier in the week. But FOX 2 cameras recorded water still bubbling from the ground Wednesday night. Officials say the development's lack of water pressure is due to a problem with a pipe inside the complex.

Meanwhile, residents were filling empty jugs with standing water from the streets in order to flush their toilets. FOX 2's Andrea Isom spoke with frustrated residents on Wednesday to get their reactions. Click the video player to watch.

Note: As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, several residents informed Isom that the pressure was slowly coming back.
