Video shows bulldog puppy thief and child accomplice

Surveillance video from a pet store in Norwalk shows aman using his son as a decoy to run out the shop with an English bulldog puppyworth almost $4,000.
The owners said that their plea to get the dog back isnot about the money because they have insurance for that. They say these dogsare like family and all they want is their little guy back safe and sound.
Lauren Kaufman, the owner of Puppies of Westport, saysthat bulldogs require a lot of special care and she now fears for the puppy'slife.
No one suspected anything was amiss until the managerhad to call the credit card company to verify the transaction. While themanager was on the phone, the suspect shoved the little boy out of the store. Then,with dog in hand, the man quickly followed.
Not only was he brazen enough to steal a dog, but itturns out his credit card, his ID, and the car's plates were stolen.
