CLAWSON, Mich. (WJBK) -

Clawson police discovered the body of a woman trapped underneath her own vehicle in what appears to be a tragic accident.

The incident happened Monday night in the parking lot of the Clawson Manor Senior Apartments along 14 Mile Road.

Det. Lt. Scott Sarvello says investigators aren't sure if the 65-year-old woman was walking away from or in front of her Pontiac Vibe to get in the driver's side when the vehicle rolled on top of her. He says the vehicle was engaged when they discovered her body and firefighters had to put it in park.

The victim's name has not been released.
