Police have identified the body of a woman found beside a road on Long Island early Saturday morning.
She has been identified as 20-year-old Jennifer Perez.
Authorities said a passing motorist found the body on the road of Pinewood Avenue near Connetquot Avenue in Central Islip around 7:27 a.m.
The Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office is trying to determine the cause of death.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
