An upstate New York woman is accused of raping a boy, the New York State Police said.

The Ulster County Family Violence Investigation Unit arrested Sarah E. Boucher, 21, of Saugerties, on July 5, 2012, after an investigation of an allegation that she had sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old boy, police said.

Authorities charged Boucher with first-degree rape, a felony, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, police said.

She was arraigned and remanded to jail. A judge set bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

Boucher is due back in court on July 10.
