Westchester County police say a second person has died following a two-car crash that left three others injured.
A speeding car crashed into another vehicle on the Saw Mill River Parkway Sunday afternoon, said police.
The accident forced police to close the roadway for nine hours.
Even hours after the accident occurred, motorist were left wondering if they would get to where they needed to be on this hot, sunny day.
The Saw Mill Parkway southbound was shutdown around 12:15 p.m., between Rumsey Road and the exit for the Cross County.
A 2010 Mercedes Benz with five people inside traveling southbound on the Saw Mill Parkway at a high rate of speed, crashed into a Honda Civic, hit a divider and flipped multiple times.
A man and woman were ejected from the Mercedes during the accident.
The unidentified man later died at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers.
The other passengers were taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx to get treatment for their injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident to see if anything else besides speed contributed to the accident.

Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) is asking New York colleges and universities to place tougher standards that would make it hard for students to abuse stimulants like Adderall. Schumer during a Sunday afternoon press conference said between 15 and 35 percent of college students frequently use Adderall to stay up to study. He said students shouldn’t be able to get amphetamine-based drugs like Adderall without a legitimate diagnosis and prescription.
