A string of violent attacks and muggings terrorizing parts of Inwood and Washington Heights may be the work of the same gang. One attack happened near a popular playground.
Police told DNAinfo.com that the incidents have the same M.O.: all the victims have been punched in the head, kicked to the ground, and then robbed.
The commanding officer of the local NYPD precinct says police presence has been increased in the area.
