Actress Katie Holmes was spotted leaving her Chelsea apartment for the first time in four days and since filing for divorce from actor Tom Cruise.

Holmes, 33, was flanked by several burly security guards on Monday.

Reports are that Holmes is living in fear that Cruise and members of the controversial Scientology religion he practices may try to kidnap the couple's six-year-old daughter, Suri, reports the NY Post.

There were spies from the controversial church in front of her Chelsea apartment Sunday watching her every move, reported the NY Post citing sources.

On Sunday, a white Cadillac Escalade was parked outside Holmes' home all day and the individuals in the car were taking photographs of people coming and going from the building. The men were reportedly from the Church of Scientology and have caused Holmes to become very frightened, added the Post on Monday.

Police checked out the car, but could not take action because Holmes did not report it. Holmes has told her building security about the situation.

Neighbors have told the media the men inside the vehicle were there for several hours and appeared intimidating.
