DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Marquis Teague got a taste of big-time basketball last season, helping Kentucky win an NCAA title as a freshman. Now he's on an even bigger stage in Chicago with the Bulls, a step that will require him to pick his game up even more.
Teague, the Bulls' first-round pick and No. 29 overall, was formally introduced by the team Monday. He knows plenty about the pro game because his brother, Jeff, a point guard for the Atlanta Hawks, has filled him in.
General manager Gar Forman also made it clear that the team values restricted free agent center Omer Asik, who has agreed to a 3-year, $25 million deal with the Houston Rockets. Chicago has three days to match the offer or let him go.
