Video shows flight attendant's rant

MYFOXNY.COM -

A flight attendant ranted at angry passengers aboard an American Eagle flight Monday that was delayed five hours because of the weather. The flight was supposed to take off from LaGuardia Airport for Raleigh-Durham Airport.

Instead of being a calming voice, flight attendant Jose Serrano became angry as well and dared passengers to get off the plane if they "had the balls to do it."

Serrano also made a comment, according to witnesses, that he didn't care anymore because it was probably his last flight, upsetting already anxious passengers.

One of the passengers recorded video of the rant

Port Authority police were called aboard and removed Serrano. The flight was canceled.

Police questioned and released him.

It is unclear if Serrano will face any disciplinary action, but American Airlines said it is investigating what happened.

"[W]e do not believe that the passengers frustrations were always met with the level of service that we expect from our people, and for that we are truly sorry," the airline said in a statement. "We do have emails … that says that the flight attendants had been dealing with an extremely difficult situation."
