An SUV carrying rapper 50 Cent on the Long Island Expressway was reportedly rear-ended by a truck sending the Queens native to the hospital early Tuesday morning, according to Thisis50.com, the rapper's website.

Police have not confirmed any details about the crash as reported on the website.

"50 cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bulletproof SUV was rearended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC," the website said.

Jackson, 36, was released from New York Hospital Queens after being treated for minor neck and back injuries, reported the Associated Press.

Various photos on the rapper's site show Curtis Jackson (50 Cent's real name) strapped to a stretcher. A black SUV appeared to have extensive damage and a large truck had a hole in the front, left side.

The driver of the SUV, Bruce Miller, was also injured, added the AP.

The driver of the truck told police his load shifted causing him to lose control of the vehicle, added the website.

Jackson, who hails from South Jamaica, Queens, rose to fame following the release of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2003.
