One of New York City's most prestigious schools has been rocked by an alleged cheating scandal.

The principal at Stuyvesant High School in lower Manhattan school reportedly spotted a student using a cell phone during a Regents exam last week.

Nayeem Ahsan, a junior, was allegedly among dozens of students on an email blast trading photos of several exams and sharing answers, reported the NY Post.

The Dept. of Education said the alleged cheating was under investigation.

An online petition seeking the now expelled student's re-admittance was created by fellow students, added the Post.
