A Long Island man is accused of attacking two police officers on Sunday.

Jorge Guevara, 41, of Roosevelt was pulled over by police on Nassau Rd.  Police say he had three children in his 1994 BMW.

Police conducted a license check and say they found that Guevara was driving without a New York license after it had been suspended.

Police say that Guevara tried walking away and a struggled ensued as the two officers tried to stop him.

All three men were transported to the hospital. Guevara suffered a contusion to his face.  His police booking photo showed a black eye.

One officer suffered contusions, lacerations, and a sprained finger. The other officer suffered several fractures to his hand.

Guevara was expected to be arraigned on Monday, June 25th in Hempstead on assault and traffic charges.
