MYFOXNY.COM -

Governor Andrew Cuomo has endorsed Representative Charles Rangel (D-NY) for re-election.

Rangel, 82, is running against State Senator Adriano Espaillat and Clyde Williams, a former aide to both President Obama and former president Bill Clinton.

Cuomo said Rangel's 22 years of service are an asset to the state.

The primaries will be held on Tuesday, June 26.

The Cuomo endorsement comes despite Rangel's 2010 congressional censure for his 11 violations of House ethics rules
