The Nassau County Health Department has announced that 18 beaches are now open.
Biltmore Beach Club remains closed due to elevated bacterial levels.
On Saturday, 19 beaches were closed due to heavy bacteria in the water.
The department had closed the beaches to bathing as a precautionary measure because storm water runoff can have a negative impact by elevating bacterial levels and affecting bathing water quality.
