A passenger at Dallas Fort Worth's airport tried to check a back with a bazooka round inside this week.

The TSA discovered the old military round after an alarm sounded during screening of checked bags.  Not knowing if it was a live round or inert, they had to evacuate the baggage area and terminals near the item.

An explosive ordinance disposal team put the item in a containment box and moved it to a remote location where they deemed the item inert.

Five flights were delayed during the hour and 23 minute incident.  It's unknown how many passengers were delayed.

The TSA recommends people flying with items like this to contact them in advance.
