The New York State Police terminated Trooper Titus Z. Taggart, 41, on Friday after an administrative hearing.

Taggart had been suspended without pay since April 26, 2012 as a result of an internal investigation into allegations that he organized parties that may have involved the promotion of prostitution.

Taggart was an 18-year veteran.

The Buffalo News previously reported that an internal investigation was looking at allegations that prostitutes were brought in from Canada into New York. The parties included food, drinks, and "loose girls," according to the report.

As part of the on-going internal investigation, the State Police also suspended Trooper Frederick Franklin, 41, and Trooper Mark Hufnagel, 41, without pay on Friday.

Troopers Franklin and Hufnagel were suspended for allegedly engaging in misconduct unrelated to organizing the parties in question.

The State Police had previously suspended without pay two other troopers -- Jeremy C. Smith, 34, and Michael L. Petritz, 33, -- in connection with the investigation.

Authorities said Smith and Petritz allegedly engaged in "misconduct" but did not help organized the parties.
