HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

The early morning traffic rush near I-94 and Metro Parkway in Harrison Twp. has been interrupted by a grisly rollover accident that happened after a high-speed police chase.

At least one person in an SUV was killed. Another was pulled from the car, but there's no word on that person's condition.

We're waiting to hear from Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham for more details, but initial word is that police were chasing the SUV for drug-related suspicions.

The chase ended on an entrance ramp to I-94, when the SUV veered off the road and flipped over several times before coming to a stop on the grass medium.

Please plan on taking an alternative route if you normally travel through this area.
