Worker killed in trench collapse

A construction worker digging in a trench on Staten Island was killed when the walls around him collapsed, said FDNY officials.

The deadly collapse near the Lipstick adult entertainment club on Victory Blvd. and Travis Ave. occurred just before 11 a.m. on Thursday.

The worker was pronounced dead at Staten Island University Hospital.

SkyFOXHD was over the area where construction equipment and a large pile of dirt could seen surrounded by yellow police tape.
