Mother of 4 fatally shot in Inkster

DETROIT -

Police are searching for the person involved in the death of a 49-year-old Inkster woman.

Inkster Police Detective Anthony DelGreco said around 11:55 p.m. last night Cheryl Fields was ambushed outside of her home.

Police were dispatched to 3015 Williams, between Inkster and Middlebelt south of Michigan Avenue.

Upon arrival Fields was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. Detectives believe she was targeted.
