Police in Detroit were searching Tuesday for two boys suspected of carjacking a woman at gunpoint.
The suspects are believed to be about 10 and 16 years old respectively, the Detroit News reported.
The victim, a 34-year-old woman, said she was leaving a business on Detroit's east side at around 6:25pm Saturday when the two young suspects approached her. She said the younger of the two appeared to be about 10.
The older boy brandished a handgun, she said, and the two stole her car and drove away, according to Detroit Police Officer Cassandra Lewis.
"When I was typing out the report, I had to double-check to see if the age was correct," Lewis recalled.
"This is the first time I've seen a carjacking suspect that young," she said.
No arrests have been made and police are asking the public for tips.
