PAPD cops at airports not qualified for certain emergencies

Many of the first responders at JFK Airport are not qualified to handle certain emergencies, according to an exclusive report from DNAinfo.com. Similar problems can also be found at LaGuardia and Newark airports.
Port Authority police officers are supposed to be trained for law enforcement and firefighting at the airports. But FAA investigators found that the overwhelming majority of the nearly 200 cops at JFK either lacked the proper certification to respond to fire and SWAT emergencies or had seen their certifications expire, sources told DNAinfo.com.
