A New York man is accused of abusing two girls and setting a car on fire with one of the victims still inside of it.

Christopher G. Pakosigan, 31, of Niagara Falls, N.Y. was arrested on Sunday.

The New York State Police say that he crashed his Mercedes on the Robert Moses Parkway near Niagara Falls at about 3:42 p.m.

They say that he jumped out of the car and started it on fire.  One of the two girls that was with him was still inside of the car when it caught fire.

She was able to get out before it was fully engulfed in flames.

Police say that Pakosigan had sexual contact with the girls earlier in the day.  They say he was also drunk at the time of the crash and fire.

Pakosigan was arraigned in Porter Town Court early Monday and jailed on $100,000 bail pending a court appearance Wednesday.
