Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -

FOX 2 has been overwhelmed with calls and emails from people saying they're getting hounded for overdue Detroit parking tickets.

So go as far back as seven years ago.

Now, city officials are telling FOX 2's Andrea Isom they mistakenly sent unpaid parking ticket notices in error to nearly 19,000 people.

The city is sending notifications to those involved to let them know earlier notices were in error. People who improperly paid the city may request a refund.
