READING, Pa. -

Police in Berks County are looking for a driver who hit a child with a vehicle and then took off.

SkyFOX was over the scene on the 1000 block of Cotton Street in Reading just after 7 p.m. Friday.

Reading police say 3-year-old Ja-Lexy Bobet was hit by a truck.   The driver continued on and fled the scene.  Several people gave chase, but did not catch up to the truck.

The little girl was transported to Reading Hospital and died a short time later.

Police says they know who was driving the truck.  He is from nearby Wernersville.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley was live at the scene Friday morning and filed this video report.
