Travel app lets you order food at airport gate

Got the munchies at the airport and need food at gate? Now there's an app for that: B4 You Board. You can use it at JFK, Chicago O'Hare, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Sacramento International.

You can find what's available by downloading the app on your smart phone. Select your airport, pickup or delivery to your gate, and what you are craving. Chili's or Balducci's? Burger? Salad? You choose your meal and pay by credit card. Within 20 minutes your food will arrive hot and ready.

The app itself is free, but the biggest draw is that meal will cost exactly the same delivered as it does in the restaurant.

Some positive customer reviews: The app doesn't take up too much memory, it's great for a short layover, and wonderful if you are traveling with kids.

Negative reviews: your credit card info not saved, not enough restaurants are participating, and it has no tipping feature.

It is one of several useful apps for travelers that could come in handy for your upcoming trips.
