A Harlem teacher has been arrested on charges he sexually abused an 8-year-old girl at his school.
Wednesday's arrest of third-grade teacher Rafael Sosa is at least the 10th arrest of a New York City school employee on sexual charges involving students in recent months.
Authorities say the 29-year-old Sosa abused the girl on several occasions. They say the abuse occurred at or near his school, Public School 208 on West 111th Street.
Sosa was removed from the classroom after his arrest. He is expected to be arraigned on sex-abuse charges later Thursday. No information on an attorney for Sosa was immediately available.
