An SUV slammed into a house in Malverne, Long Island Thursday.

The driver of the white BMW was injured and taken to South Nassau Community Hospital, said Nassau County Police. The victim's condition was unclear.

The family who lives in the home was asleep on the second floor at the time of the crash and were not injured.

Aerial footage showed the back half of the vehicle sticking out from the side of the house at Hempstead Ave. and Ocean Ave.

A fireplace and chimney appeared to have been pushed into the backyard of the home during the impact.

It is not clear what lead to the incident just after 6 a.m.

Police and emergency personnel were quickly on the scene trying to determine what lead to the crash and how the vehicle would be removed.

The structural stability of the house was being assessed.
