Police in Florida have arrested a fugitive wanted in New Jersey for almost 20 years.

Robert Marone, 69, was one of New Jersey's top 12 most wanted fugitives. "America's Most Wanted" featured his case a decade ago.

On June 8, 2012, acting on a tip from cops in New Jersey, Fort Lauderdale detectives assigned to the FBI Fugitive Task Force and the U.S. Marshals investigated and found Marone within a matter of hours.

Marone was wanted in New Jersey for parole violations stemming from a 1971 murder conviction as well as a warrant for aggravated sexual assault on a child in 1992, authorities said.

He is in jail in Florida and is awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
