HAZEL PARK, Mich. (WJBK) -

44-year-old Phillip Rucha's latest mug shot was snapped Friday after he was arrested by Hazel Park police officers and charged with one count of criminal sexual criminal conduct in the second degree.

"We are still investigating," said Hazel Park Police Chief Martin Barner.  "It is an ongoing investigation, so there's a possibility there could be additional charges."

The chief is keeping quiet on many of the details of this case to protect the child involved. We have learned the alleged victim is a five-year-old boy, and police worry there are other victims out there.

"If there's any question that maybe somebody knew this individual and perhaps their child had contact with him, I would ask they please give us a call," Barner said.

According to the State of Michigan's Sex Offender Registry, Rucha was convicted of the same crime in 1989.  The chief says Rucha's arrest is a reminder to all parents to watch your children.

"Just know who they associate with, who they're with, and to note any changes in behavior.  It could be a signal that something inappropriate may have happened."

Rucha's bond was set at a million dollars.  He is scheduled to be back in court on June 19.  If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
