The sheriff's department got a call around 8:30pm Friday about shots fired on the 100 block of Stegman Lane. While they were responding, two men with gunshot wounds arrived at McLaren Hospital. 22-year-old Frederick Acha-Caragena was shot multiple times in the chest. He died. His 23-year-old brother was shot in the leg and is expected to survive

Information was developed by detectives and the sheriff's Fugitive Apprehension Team about the suspect's location. As a result a 22-year-old man from Pontiac was taken into custody at 3am Saturday at a hotel in Wyoming, MI just outside of Grand Rapids. He's now in the Oakland County Jail. The case is expected to be presented to the prosecutor's office Monday.
