DETROIT -

His co-workers and family knew something was wrong right away.  He took a car for a test drive, but never came back.  He was found shot to death and set on fire, and no one knows why.

"Things are happening in Detroit and nobody is standing up speaking, and they need to stop being scared or we [are] all going to be killed, one at a time," a female friend remarked.

Kenny Moore, thought to be just missing, was murdered, shot multiple times.  Detroit firefighters found his body after they put out a house fire in the 4000 block of Tuxedo.  The door to the charred house is still open.  The smell of smoke is still in the air.

"When I found out what happened, it crushed me because I don't think he deserved to go out like that," said a male friend.

Until his killers are caught, his friends are scared to go on camera.  Moore's co-workers say Friday two men came to U.S. 1 Transmission where he worked and ask him to take their car for a test drive to see what was wrong with it.  Moore called one of the men by name.  They never came back.

"When he was missing, it was like nobody thought the was gone, gone," the male friend said.

His body was found Saturday morning, but not identified for four more days. Sources say he was shot several times and died before the fire.

Now those who knew him struggle to say goodbye.

"I wanted to place this memorial for myself because how close he was to me, what he meant to me.  Friends like that you can't find, you can't buy," the female friend said.
