DETROIT (WJBK) -

The video was clear as day.  A man with an AK-47 walked into 8 Mile Automotive and started spraying bullets in every direction.  There was a woman with a baby girl in the waiting room.  The owner of the shop says this was personal.

"He walked in and pointed the gun at one of the employees, and when I saw that, I took off running to the office and yelled 'over here'," said Moe Fawaz.  "He just basically followed me with the gun.  It was an AK-47 and he was just spraying all over the place."

The video is jaw dropping.  A man with an AK-47 assault rifle making no effort to hide his weapon outside recklessly shooting in every direction.  The video shows shop employees running for their lives and a customer with a baby girl shielding her child and scurrying out the door.

"He came in ready to shoot.  He had all intentions of obviously hurting somebody."

Fawaz believes he was the target.

"I started receiving calls, somebody threatening to kill me unless I paid a debt that a family member of mine owed, and I refused and he threatened to come in with an AK-47 and kill us.  We made a police report stating that and just to be on the safe side, but two days later it happened."

Fawaz says he is still getting calls from the shooter threatening to come back with his gun.  The caller says his brother owes $8,000.  He was recently attacked with a hammer prompting reconstructive surgery on his face.

Fawaz says he has nothing to do with his brother's affairs and wonders if the video could help solve this case.  He says he has vital information for police.  The problem is, he says, no one will call him back.

"They told me there's only one person that can alter the report and he doesn't come in until 6:00 p.m.  6:00 p.m. comes around, I call, he's not there.  6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30."

Detroit Police tell us a detective is actively working this case, but was off-duty the day Fawaz called.

Fawaz just hopes the shooter is caught before he comes back like he promised he would.
