Veteran remembers heroes of D-Day

June 6, 1944: D-Day; 68 years have passed since the invasion of Normandy, an operation that is widely considered the turning point of World War II.

Now all these decades later, the New York Yankees are honoring several WWII veterans at the stadium, including Thomas White of Fairfield, Conn.

Fox 5's Linda Schmidt interviewed White, 94, about his experiences serving his country with valor and his thoughts about the men who never made it back from the war.

White also shared a photograph that shows him sitting behind General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower, General George S. Patton, and General of the Army Omar Bradley.
