The concept of Dining in the Dark is to heighten the diner's tasting experience by taking away the sense of sight.
Dans le Noir is a restaurant that started in Paris as a way to provide the visually impaired with jobs. It has since spread to many other cities including a recently opened location in New York.
Visually impaired guides take people into a pitch black dining room where they are treated to a $69 surprise prix-fix menu that awakens their palate and exposes them to blind dining.
Dans le Noir is open Tuesday through Sunday and offers a Sunday Gospel Brunch for $59.
