As the sun begins to set Tuesday evening, people in the tristate may be able to see the planet Venus moving across the sun.

It will appear as a small, black circle, slowly gliding across the face of the sun.

The transit comes in pairs, 105 years apart.

The second half takes place Tuesday at approximately 6 p.m.

Do not look directly into the sun, advise experts. It's best to use binoculars or a telescope.
