From snow and surf boards to shirts and headgear, Detroit Surf Co. has it covered. Tuesday on The Nine FOX 2's Jessica Starr is joined by Dave Tuzinowski from Detroit Surf Co. who explains how the company got started.

For exercise or just to check out a local lake at sunset Tuzinowski says paddle boards are a great way to get around on the water. On the company website, since the Advent of Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP), the sport of surfing and paddling is ready to explode in the Great Lakes region.

Today Detroit Surf Co. has begun production of the 2012 Stand Up Paddle Boards, specifically designed for use in fresh water. 2012 models can be ordered now, to be delivered in spring 2012.

The company is also working with a local fashion designer in Detroit with local production to possibly make some of our apparel such as board
shorts, water wear, shirts, etc.

Detroit Surf Co. brand street longboards are now available at the Rust Belt Market, in Ferndale MI
