2 Women Hurt in Bloody Knife Fight

WALLED LAKE, Mich. (WJBK) -

Two women were hospitalized Wednesday following a bloody fight that started inside a Walled Lake apartment building.

Fox 2's Al Allen says the victims have severe stab and slash wounds and were taken to Botsford and Providence Hospitals.

According to Walled Lake Police one of the women is in protective custody at the hospital and a 17-year old female is also being questioned as part of the investigation.

Neighbors say they heard screaming and someone yelling for help at the Villa Court South apartments near Pontiac Trail. Investigators say an argument between the women that started inside the apartment escalated into a bloody attack that spilled outside. It is not clear what the women were fighting about. The bloody crime scene extended from the apartment to Pontiac Trail nearly two blocks away.

One woman was found bleeding in the street on Pontiac Trail, the others found in separate cars.

Walled Lake Police Chief Paul Shakinas says it appears one of the women lives at the condo, the two others live elsewhere.

Walled Lake Police and Oakland County Sheriff's Deputies entered the condo and were seen taking away evidence a short time later.

A 3-year-old boy lives at the condo with his mother who was one of the people injured in the altercation. The child was not hurt and is staying with relatives.
