Ah, the joys of springtime.  So many of us can't wait to get out on our backyard patios for a little weekend rest and recreation.

Lynn Cavanaugh with Four Seasons Garden Center and Landscaping joined FOX 2's Monica Gayle to talk about the evolution of the patio, as well as some of the materials available for patio construction.

Now there's plenty of room to stand on most days.Basketball programs like one at Chelsea Piers are gaining popularity. That means the place to hoop it up for many appears to be indoors.

    The largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America is taking place in New Jersey.  The 32nd annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival takes place from Friday, July 25th to Sunday, July 27th in Readington. The festival features more than 100 hot air balloons from around the world.

    48-year-old Keith Andersen retired in February from the Grosse Pointe Police Department. On June 21, he was involved in a roll over accident where he suffered a broken neck. As of now Keith has no movement in his the lower half of his body. The Fraternal Order of Police, Grosse Pointe Lodge 102 is holding a fundraiser for Keith on Aug 5th. Amy Lange will have a full report on Fox 2 News at 5:00 p.m.
