Pastor Winans luxury SUV located after carjacking

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -

Pastor Marvin Winans' luxury SUV has been found after he was beaten, robbed and carjacked on Wednesday.  Two people authorities have identified as perpetrators in the crime have not been taken into custody, according to Detroit Police.

Meanwhile, police raided an address Thursday on Tyler Street looking for carjackers.  It is just one block from the Citgo where Winans was carjacked.

Police were armed with two arrest warrants for two brothers.  A tip said the wanted brothers had been living on Tyler.

Neighbors say the boys' dad was home alone, but his sons were gone.  Police asked one of the neighbors to come inside and help communicate and comfort the dad.  The neighbor said she has lived there seven years and was very familiar with the family.

"He was very sad, scared, nervous, and they called me over there to talk to him and to calm him down, so that's what I went over there to go and do."

She added that she saw the brothers a couple of days ago, but not since.

We heard the man in the house say the boys don't live there.  Police removed an XBOX 360 basketball game and a red Wilson athletic bag.

At the same time the raid went down on the house, police found Pastor Winans' Infiniti SUV.  It was tucked and hidden in some tall grass in the backyard of an abandoned home several blocks from Tyler on Wager near West Chicago and Dexter.  After evidence techs went over the SUV with a fine tooth comb and a fingerprint kit, it was loaded on a flatbed truck.  They towed the Infiniti to infinity.  It's now evidence.

This has been the hottest vehicle in Detroit with the most publicity.  Whoever dumped it didn't put a scratch on it and not a single lug nut was loosened on all the wheels.

A $2,000 reward is being offered by Detroit Police.
