It was a tough day for Catherine Scalia after she and her hot dog truck were chased out of two locations in Baldwin.
She was screamed at by a business owner and an angry citizen. She was even told to get lost by the cops.
She still has the smile on her face and the bikini on...but she's decidedly less chipper tonight.
Fresh out of jail after pleading guilty to prostitution charges, Scalia no longer seems to be relishing in the attention her indecent ways have attracted.
Cathy's working day started off on the wrong foot. She parked her truck on private property and didn't consult the owner first.
Concerned citizen Jessenia Velazquez interfered and alerted the owner to Cathy's whereabouts. He made her move her truck.
Then cops informed her that she needs a peddler's license to actually sell food. She only has a health department permit.
She said she will be applying for that peddler's permit. But the permit is not that easy to get because the Town of Hempstead has to do a criminal background check as part of protocol.
As for her jail stint, she said it was like being in the Playboy Mansion and he said the only reason she entered a guilty plea was to just get out of there.
She is due back in court June 18. She must have a court-ordered psych evaluations completed by then.
