Authorities have arrested an upstate New York man for allegedly desecrating graves at a cemetery over the weekend, the State Police said.

Bach J. Lackie, 27, of Athens, went into Athens Rural Cemetery early Saturday, May 5, 2012, and knocked over 13 grave markers, damaging eight of them, police said.

After investigating, local cops and state troopers arrested Lackie on May 7 and charged him with second-degree Criminal Mischief and first-degree Cemetery Desecration, both felonies.

Lackie was arraigned in Town of Athens count and was sent to Green County Jail. The judge set bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
