Police: Tempe Woman Fatally Shot by Ex-Boyfriend

Tempe Police have arrested a 23-year-old woman's ex-boyfriend in her murder.

Victor A. Martinez, Jr. was arrested 4 a.m. Tuesday for killing 23-year-old Christina Hallman.

Police says Martinez and Hallman had dated for approximately three months before the relationship recently ended.

On Sunday afternoon, Hallman was supposed to go pick up some belongings from Martinez's house.

Hallman's family contacted police and filed a missing persons report after she didn't come home and they couldn't reach her by phone.

Monday morning, employees at a Tempe business found the woman inside of her vehicle, dead by a gunshot wound.

Inside the vehicle was Hallman was her 2-year-old daughter. The toddler was not harmed and was turned over to family members.

Detectives say Martinez admitted to shooting Hallman. He was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
