Hallman's family contacted police and filed a missing persons report after she didn't come home and they couldn't reach her by phone.

Monday morning, employees at a Tempe business found the woman inside of her vehicle, dead by a gunshot wound.

Inside the vehicle was Hallman was her 2-year-old daughter. The toddler was not harmed and was turned over to family members.

Detectives say Martinez admitted to shooting Hallman. He was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
