CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Perjury and murder are seemingly unrelated crimes. But Chicago Police and the FBI said Lavonte Moore is responsible for both, and agents are looking for help tracking him down.

FBI Special Agent Joan Hyde said the primary reason Lavonte Moore is Chicago's Most Wanted, is for a murder investigation.

He is wanted by Chicago Police for questioning in the shooting death of Henry Taylor in May of 2011 during a dispute over money.

At the time, Moore was on parole after a perjury conviction. While he has not been charged with murder so far, he is charged with a parole violation because he failed to show up at his parole office for his regular appointment.

After the murder, FBI agents along with the Chicago Police and the Department of Corrections searched for Moore in the Chicago area, but could not locate him.

Investigators developed information that indicates Moore fled to Atlanta, Georgia, and said his father owns property outside Atlanta. So at this point they believe he has fled Illinois for that area.

But the FBI wants people in the Chicago area to be on the lookout for Moore in case he returns.

Agent Hyde said because Moore he lived and has associates in the Chicago area, it's possible that as time passes he may feel it's safe to return here. So if anyone sees him, or sees this information on the web down in the Atlanta area, we are asking for their help.

The FBI says Moore is a black male, 24 years old, 5'9" tall and about 175 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is considered armed and dangerous, if you see him, call police.
