Audience member Tony asks Dr. Oz what the best and quickest way is to get her Type 2 Diabetes out of her life.

Dr. Oz states that Tony should notice changes within two weeks of dramatically changing her diet. Dr. Oz further explains that when someone has Type 2 Diabetes, the liver has to figure out what to do with the insulin, and muscles have to also be responsive to the insulin for progress.

Once Tony’s diet has changed for the better, Dr. Oz reiterates that after two weeks, the chemical shift within her body is what matters more than the weight coming-off. Dr. Oz further states that Tony will notice the difference once that positive chemical change has taken place, and her weight loss will of course follow.

Audience member Betty asks Dr. Oz why her hair seems to get thick and full in the winter, but then falls out more and becomes thinner in the summer.

Dr. Oz states that he usually sees the opposite happen with people. Dr. Oz explains that usually the scalp dries out in the winter (due to cold and less moisture in the air).

Dr. Oz asks Betty a couple questions and postulates that she might be losing her hair when she pulls it back and wears it that way. Dr. Oz also reiterates that the Sun can be damaging to hair follicles as well, so pulling on the hair roots and exposing them more to the Sun might be Betty’s issue.
