Chicago's Most Wanted The B.C. Bandit

Posted:

An intesection on Chicago's northwest side is where the B-C bandit got his nickname. FBI agents believe he's responsible for robbing three banks at or near Belmont and Central Avenenue in a five week periond.
Investigators say the B.C. bandit last struck on May 1st when he knocked over the MB Financial bank branch at 3046 N Central.

Each time, investigators say the bandit handed the teller a note written in texting shorthand, with words misspelled. He's also claimed to have a gun. The FBI's Ross Rice says the bandit is "very agitated" and "goes in to a profanity laced tirade directed at each of the bank employees. instructing them to hurry up.

A bank security camera photo shows the B.C. bandit stuffing money into a plastic grocery store bag while walking out of the bank. Once outside, agents say he quickly disappears in to the passing crowd.

Since all three banks are so close together, investigators believe the B.C. bandit lives near that intersection. They also believe you might know who the B.C. bandit is because he hasn't done much to hide his face during the robbies.

Agents describe the B.C. bandit as a white or hispanic male, about 25 years old, approximately five feet nine inches tall, with a medium build, and a mole or freckle on his left side of his face.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.
