The people who miss Stacy Peterson have never set foot in the overgrown countryside near Peoria but emotionally this is very familiar terrain.
“It’s been countless times in last three years we’ve been down this road. We thought some of these leads were very positive and turned out to be nothing. So we’re hopeful but we’re not, we’re just bracing ourselves for it to be nothing,” said Pamela Bosco, Peterson family spokesperson.
Drew Peterson’s attorney says it’s nothing again and that the state police investigators aren’t going to find anything. He says today’s big hunch is another bit of baseless gossip.
“The one thing all these rumors have in common is they proved to be false,” said Joel Brodsky, Drew Peterson’s attorney.
According to Brodsky Drew Peterson has no cell mates to talk to and is isolated away from all other inmates and has been for almost 13 months.
Stacy’s family isn’t too worried about Drew’s loneliness they are convinced the police are acting in good faith.
Bosco said the only thing they were positively told is that this is an excellent lead and that is why police are there.
