Chicago's Most Wanted Corey Frierson Update

Posted:

Corey Frierson has been on the run since Christmas. The FBI says thats when he and two other masked men robbed a Country Club Hills bank, armed with uzi's.

Since he was profiled on Chicago's Most Wanted in March, Frierson has had a few brushes with the law.

Based on viewer tips, the FBI's Ross Rice says agents tracked Frierson to Lexington, Mississippi. They believe he was hiding out there because he has friends and family in the area.

When a local police officer recently stopped a person who they described as a "suspicous individual," Rice says that person turned out to be Frierson. As the police officer was checking his i-d, Frierson left his vehicle and disappearred in to the woods. Rice also says Frierson's i-d was a fake Ohio drivers license where he was a fake name: Christopher Redmond. They also say Frierson now has a shaved his head; he used to have dread locks.

While in Mississippi, agents learned that Frierson has made threats to kill police officers. As a result, the FBI has now increased the reward for information leading to his arrest to 20-thousand dollars.

Here is a detailed description of what Frierson looks like. He's described as a black male, about six feet tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with a light complexion and freckles.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
